Neste artigo, iremos atualizar uma versão recém instalada do Oracle Grid e Database 11.2.0.3, executando em Linux X86_64 (RAC), para o Patch Set Update 7 (11.2.0.3.7), datado de Julho/2013. Para isso, vamos precisar baixar os seguintes pacotes do site da Oracle:
- p16742216_112030_Linux-x86-64.zip -> PSU 7
- p6880880_112000_Linux-x86-64.zip -> Última versão do OPatch
Após passar os arquivos para o servidor, vamos primeiro atualizar a versão do OPatch. Para começar, descompacte os arquivos do patch.
Como grid, execute:

Iremos agora executar a instalação do patch como usuário root, para garantir que a instalação seja feita diretamente nas 2 homes (Grid e Oracle):
