This week I was trying to delete a “Service Template” in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c that I used to create a “Schema as a Service” scenario.<\/p>\n

Before doing that, I deleted all the Service Instances<\/strong> associated and\u00a0my EM\u00a0showed none\u00a0associated, like the picture below.<\/p>\n

However, even though when I tried to delete it I was receiving the error through a popup:<\/p>\n

Starting deletion of 1 service template(s).\r\n\r\nService Template MyServiceTemplate deletion failed.\r\nCannot delete service template 'Dev Schema'. Service instance(s) are associated to this template.\r\n\r\n\r\nDelete operation on selected service template(s) failed.<\/pre>\n
Very strange, how could I have a Service Instance<\/strong> associated if the panel showed none after the deletions?<\/p>\n
So, after digging deeper, I’ve found out that I still had some “Schema Service<\/strong>”\u00a0in my “All Targets<\/strong>” screen. This was the only place where those itens could be found:<\/p>\n

After removing all the targets above, I went back to the Service Template screen and than I could finally remove it!<\/p>\n
