When you open the Cloud menu inside Oracle Enterprise Manager (Enterprise -> Cloud -> Cloud Home<\/strong>) and than go to the “Getting Started” page (Oracle Cloud -> Setup ->\u00a0Getting Started<\/strong>), it can happen the\u00a0the option to setup\u00a0Databases is not presented there, like below:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The problem when this icon does not appear is that the necessary plugins weren’t\u00a0installed.<\/p>\n

To do so, go to the Plugins Page (Setup -> Extensibility -> Plug-ins<\/strong>) and check if you have applied the “Oracle Cloud Application”<\/strong> under Cloud folder.<\/p>\n

As we can see in the image below, it’s not applied:<\/p>\n

Select it and click “Deploy<\/strong>” to install the Plugin. Than follow the instructions.<\/p>\n

Notice that\u00a0“Oracle Virtualization” plugin (under “Servers, Storage and Network” folder<\/span><\/span>) is a pre-requisite, so this one also needs to be applied:<\/p>\n

After deploying \u00a0the “Oracle Virtualization” plugin, you may pass all the pre-reqs tasks:<\/p>\n

Install it and than you will be ready\u00a0to use Oracle Cloud DBaaS functionality.\u00a0Note that “Oracle Cloud Management Pack for Oracle Database<\/strong>” license may be\u00a0required if you want to use DBaaS option.
